Andrew Chan is Head of Ambulantes Neurozentrum Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, Bern (Switzerland) and Professor of Neurology at the Ruhr-University Bochum. He is also Deputy Head of department, Clinical consultant, Dept. Neurology, University of Bochum, St. Josef-Hospital, Germany. He is an ECTRIMS council board member until 2015, Advisory Board of the German Multiple Sclerosis Society and member of the Ethics Committee, Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany until 2015. He is also a reviewer for the European Union FP7, national research boards, and for international neurological and neuroimmunological journals. He has received the Award for the best “Habilitation” (postdoctoral lecturer qualification) of Georg-August University, Göttingen, Germany: (2005/2006) and Langheinrich Prize for Multiple Sclerosis research (2002).
