    This educational activity is intended for health care professionals involved in the management of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, including neurologists and other neuromuscular specialists.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this course, the learners should be able to:

    • Identify best practices for the proactive monitoring of corticosteroid-associated side effects in patients with DMD via interdisciplinary care coordination
    • Compare and contrast corticosteroid-based treatment options for DMD in terms of their efficacy and safety from clinical trial data as well as emerging real-world evidence
    • Evaluate real-world patient case scenarios to help optimize corticosteroid use among patients with DMD who may also be receiving gene therapy and/or other treatment modalities
