Kathryn Davis, MD, MTR, is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Associate Director of the Penn Epilepsy Center, and Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Epilepsy Surgical Program and EEG Lab. She has expertise in epilepsy and the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy patients, as well as expertise in electroencephalography (EEG) and epilepsy neuroimaging. Dr. Davis received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and her Masters in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) followed by an epilepsy fellowship at HUP. Dr. Davis is board certified in psychiatry, neurology and clinical neurophysiology with added competency in epilepsy monitoring. Dr. Davis’ training in clinical epilepsy and biomedical research represents over a decade of dedication to her career goal: to utilize both the advancing fields of invasive neurophysiology and neuroimaging to better localize epileptic networks in medication refractory epilepsy patients. She hopes that improving localization will enable epileptologists to better assign individual patients to the most efficacious therapy, for example, seizure control devices, resective surgery, or continued medical management.
